Getting Started with TIXFIN

Welcome to TIXFIN! This guide will walk you through creating your first event and selling tickets in minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to app.tixfin.com/register
  2. Enter your email and create a password
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Complete your profile

Pro Tip: Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) in your account settings for extra security.

Step 2: Create Your First Project

A project represents your organization or venue. You can create multiple projects.

  1. Click "New Project" from your dashboard
  2. Fill in the details:
    • Project Name - e.g., "Summer Music Festival"
    • Description - What your project is about
    • Location - Where events take place
    • Timezone - Your local timezone
  3. Click "Create Project"

Step 3: Create Your First Event

  1. From your project dashboard, click "Create Event"
  2. Enter event details:

Basic Information

  • Event Name - e.g., "Opening Night"
  • Description - What attendees can expect
  • Date & Time - When it starts and ends
  • Location - Specific venue or address

Event Settings

  • Capacity - Maximum number of attendees (optional)
  • Visibility - Public (searchable) or Private (link only)
  • Status - Draft, Published, or Archived

Step 4: Create Ticket Types

Now create the tickets you want to sell:

  1. Go to your event and click "Ticket Types"
  2. Click "Add Ticket Type"
  3. Configure each ticket type:

Required Fields

  • Name - e.g., "General Admission", "VIP", "Early Bird"
  • Price - Amount in your currency
  • Quantity - How many available (or unlimited)

Optional Settings

  • Description - What's included
  • Sale Start Date - When tickets go on sale
  • Sale End Date - When sales close
  • Valid From/Until - When tickets can be used

  2. Repeat for additional ticket types

Example Ticket Setup

Early Bird - $50 - 100 tickets - Available until 30 days before event
General Admission - $75 - 500 tickets - Standard entry
VIP - $150 - 50 tickets - Includes backstage access

Step 5: Publish Your Event

  1. Review your event and ticket types
  2. Test the purchase flow
  3. Click "Publish Event"
  4. Copy your ticket sales link

Step 6: Share Your Event

Share your ticket link:

  • Website - Embed or link from your site
  • Social Media - Post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Email - Send to your mailing list
  • Flyers - Add QR code to print materials

Step 7: Monitor Sales

Track everything from your dashboard:

  • Real-time Sales - See tickets sold and revenue
  • Attendee List - View who's coming
  • Analytics - Charts and trends
  • Transactions - Payment history

Step 8: Prepare for Event Day

Add Staff Members

  1. Go to Project SettingsTeam
  2. Click "Invite Member"
  3. Enter their email
  4. Assign role (Manager or Staff)
  5. They'll receive an invitation email

Download Scanner App

Staff will need the TIXFIN Scanner app:

  • iOS - [App Store Link]
  • Android - [Play Store Link]
  • Web - Use scanner.tixfin.com on any device

Brief Your Team

  • Show staff how to use the scanner app
  • Explain the check-in process
  • Provide backup plan (manual list)
  • Test scanning with a test ticket

Step 9: Check In Attendees

On event day:

  1. Staff opens the scanner app
  2. Selects your event
  3. Scans attendee QR codes
  4. Green = Valid, Red = Invalid/Already Used
  5. Dashboard shows live attendance

Step 10: After Your Event

  • Review Reports - See final attendance and revenue
  • Export Data - Download attendee list for follow-up
  • Process Refunds - Handle any refund requests
  • Plan Next Event - Use insights for improvement

Common Questions

Can I sell tickets for free events?
Yes! Set ticket price to $0 for free events.

How do I handle will-call tickets?
Create a "Will Call" ticket type and sell at the door.

Can attendees transfer tickets?
Ticket transfer is coming soon!

What if someone loses their ticket?
They can log in to their TIXFIN account to view tickets again, or you can resend the confirmation email.

How do I issue refunds?
Go to the ticket in your dashboard and click "Refund". The customer will be refunded automatically.
