Staff Hub & Mobile

What a crew member sees, and how it connects to the scanner app

Crew Ops has two sides. Supervisors plan and manage from the full Crew Ops area covered in Shift Planning & Check-ins and Briefings, Run Sheets & Incidents. Crew members get a focused, personal view called the Staff Hub.

Staff Hub

The Staff Hub is a crew member's personal dashboard — everything scoped to them, not the whole event:

My Shifts

The shifts assigned to me, with time, location, and role

My Tasks

Tasks assigned to me from the event task board

My Timesheets

My recorded worked time, breaks, and attendance status

Announcements & Briefings

Messages and briefings relevant to me

A check-in card lets crew members check themselves in and out directly from their own view, rather than requiring a supervisor to do it for them (supervisors can still check anyone in/out from the main Check-ins area).

Permissions

Crew members are granted narrow, self-scoped permissions rather than blanket "manage" rights — typically limited to viewing their own shifts/tasks/timesheets and managing their own check-in and availability. Supervisor and admin roles carry the broader "manage" permissions across shifts, roles, locations, briefings, run sheets, incidents, timesheets, and more. See Access Control for how project roles and permissions work generally.

Connection to the Mobile App

Crew Ops' check-in system is the same underlying check-in record used across the platform — whether a crew member checks themselves in from the Staff Hub, a supervisor checks them in from the Dashboard, or door staff scan attendee tickets from the Mobile App, everything reflects in the same real-time event view.

The Mobile App's ticket scanning is about checking attendees into the event. Crew Ops check-in is about tracking crew/staff attendance — the two are related concepts but track different people.
