How It Works

1. Staff downloads event data before event
2. Scanner stores locally on device
3. Scanning works without internet
4. Syncs when connection restored

Best Practices

For reliable offline scanning:

• Download event data on WiFi
• Use devices with good battery
• Sync during slow periods
• Have backup internet (mobile hotspot)

Manual Check-In

When to Use Manual

• QR code damaged or won't scan
• Technical difficulties
• Backup verification
• Special circumstances

Manual Process

1. In scanner app, tap "Manual Entry"
2. Search by:
   • Name
   • Email
   • Order number
   • Phone number
3. Verify ID matches
4. Tap "Check In"

Backup List

Print attendee list as backup:

1. Go to event dashboard
2. Click "Attendee List"
3. Print or save PDF
4. Check off manually if needed
